A historical drama American motion picture, telling the story of the arrival and subsequent execution of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico by the bandit Benito Juárez. The movie obviously paints Juárez as a shrewd leader, quickly taking "his country" back. This same motion picture, however, paints the Emperor in a sympathetic light, shown as a charitable and ingenious man who wanted the best for Mexico, only to be backstabbed by Napoleon III, who left him and the Mexican army all by themselves against Juárez's band of crooks and the American army. Definitely worth a watch.Running time: 125 minutes
