SUBJ: Revision and Redesign of Awards and Decorations
In order to recognize the personal achievements of soldiers, sailors, and allies of the Armed Forces of Karnia-Ruthenia, the following is hereby enacted:
01. The General Headquarters will henceforth recognize and award the following personal decorations per the listed criteria:
A. Order of the Imperial Eagle - awarded for “extraordinary deeds rendering the bearer insurmountable to the enemy and indispensable to the Empire.”
B. Gallantry Cross - awarded for “an audacious act of singular daring in an attempt to save the life of another, ensure the success of a military operation, or safeguard the Empire from calamity.”
C. Royal Star of Merit - awarded for “notable demonstrations of administrative and organizational excellence directly resulting in improvements to the Armed Forces and contributing to the continuity and relevance of the Empire.”
D. Heart of Valor - awarded for “receiving a wound in action against the enemy or in support of a military operation.”
E. Imperial Cross of Honor - awarded for “embodying noble moral character by defending the weak, aiding the poor, or opposing injustice.”
02. The General Headquarters will henceforth recognize and award the following General Service Awards per the listed criteria:
A. Order of St. George - presented to “individuals who have demonstrated stalwart dedication to the preservation of the Empire through service contributing to her defense in a period of national emergency.” Subsequent awards marked by gold stars added to the ribbon.
B. Military Order of Knights Paragon - presented to “members of the Imperial and Royal Armed Forces who have faithfully served for a period of five years without disciplinary action.” Subsequent awards marked by silver stars added to the ribbon.
C. Imperial Legion - presented to “members of the Imperial and Royal Armed Forces who are serving or have served honorably in the military of their respective macronations.”
03. The General Headquarters will henceforth recognize and award the following Qualification Awards per the listed criteria:
A. Rifle Qualification Ribbon - presented to “members of the Imperial and Royal Armed Forces who have passed the approved qualification course with a service rifle.” A blank ribbon represents a score of Marksman, while a bronze S device and a silver E device represent scores of Sharpshooter and Expert respectively.
B. Pistol Qualification Ribbon - presented to “members of the Imperial and Royal Armed Forces who have passed the approved qualification course with a service pistol.” A blank ribbon represents a score of Marksman, while a bronze S device and a silver E device represent scores of Sharpshooter and Expert respectively.
04. The General Headquarters will continue to recognize the previously established list of Campaign Medals.
05. This list and the associated criteria and designs shall supersede the previous list, criteria, and designs established by the General Headquarters.
06. The power to bestow these awards shall rest with the General Headquarters. Individuals may be considered by recommendation of their immediate superiors, the Chief of the General Staff, or the Commander-in-Chief.
